Darya is a Persian name which means "Ocean". In this short story, a clump of plastic huge enough to be considered a planet collides into Reggie's home planet of Darya. This incident leads to a mass extinction, with Reggie being the last survivor. Before he dies, Reggie finds a note half buried in plastic, which explains the Plastic Planet. They say we live in world of duality, which means to every good deed there's an evil consequence. The discovery and use of plastic have contributed a great deal in our technological advancement, but as good and effective the use of it has been, it is without a doubt that our disposable methods have failed and now our beautiful planet is paying the price.

Our oceans are slowly disappearing, being filled up by mountains and mountains of trash, with no where to go. This is a short story about a girl and her world falling apart, thanks to the plastic and trash everwhere.
